The device was produced by Olympus and Fujifilm to be used in many brands of digital camera and voice recorders. in 2010 both companies announced that the xD format will become obsolete with them favouring the more popular SD card format.

Even though this type of card is becoming obsolete Kingdom Data Recovery will still recover data from this format. We can recover accidentally deleted files, files from a formatted card or a card that is no longer recognised by the device.
