Secure Data Deletion Method

The only sure fire way of knowing no one can access your data is by degaussing the hard drive or any magnetic device like a tape or CDs/DVDs. We use the Verity Systems V660 Hard Drive Degausser. This device will delete data from any magnetic device in just 20 seconds rendering the media unusable.

Why is it Free?

As a data recovery business we are always looking for spare parts to aid in mechanical fixes for customer's hard drives, so we may take a circuit board (PCB), actuator or head arms from a hard drive marked for disposal. We will never take any part that could potentially have data stored on it. This arrangement enables us to dispose of hard drives free of charge and only take parts that are required for data recovery fixes.
