We met Gavin at a networking event in Edinburgh and after a brief exchange of what we did Gavin proceeded to tell us about his trip to the Galapagos Islands and the amazing videos and pictures he took whilst there especially having the opportunity to swim with the seals, truly a trip of a life time, however...
I now have my treasured video footage, they performed the task in a remarkably quick timescale
Gavin told us that the SD card the images and videos were stored on had become corrupt and he was unable to open them. He had taken the card to a PC Repair store who managed to get most of the photos back but were unable to recover the videos of him swimming with the seals. We took the SD card from a none too optimistic Gavin and managed to recover his video footage in a quick turnaround. Gavin was understandably delighted and had this to say.
Having discovered that all my video footage from a recent once-in-a-lifetime holiday had become corrupted and seemingly useless, I had taken the SD cards to a specialist in the city who attempted but failed to recover the files. When the guys offered to take on the task I was therefore not over-optimistic about their chances of success. However I am very pleased to say that not only were they successful – I now have my treasured video footage - but they performed the task in a remarkably quick timescale. They certainly appear to be very good at what they do.
If you have photos or video you want recovered from your SD card, do not use it as adding more data decreases the chances of data recovery. Instead contact Kingdom Data Recovery on 0131 208 0008 and we will endeavour to give you the same good news we gave Gavin.
